About Client Reference Group

To ensure that the experiences and perspectives of our clients are central to our decision-making, the Vision Australia Board has established a Client Reference Group. This group provides advice and feedback on matters relating to client experience and the strategic direction of the organisation.

Client Reference Group Charter

The Client Reference Group operates under the guidance of the Client Reference Group Charter.

The Client Reference Group was formed in October 2015, and its members are appointed by the Vision Australia Board for three-year terms. The group meets in person twice a year with the Vision Australia Board and at other times via teleconference, ensuring ongoing engagement and input.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for membership are invited as vacancies arise. EOIs are promoted through:

  • Vision Australia’s website and social media channels
  • our FYI electronic newsletter
  • the blindness and low vision community
  • email lists
  • local Vision Australia centres.

This inclusive approach ensures a broad range of voices from our community are heard and represented.
