Vision Australia is excited to launch its Year Ready program in NSW these summer school holidays.
This new program offers a chance for families to work collaboratively with our team members before a new learning year begins. These sessions allow us to review goal progress, set new goals, organise schedules of supports, ensure compliance is met and set expectations for the year.
The aim for these sessions it to ensure everyone is on the same page in relation to goals and funding, before the chaos of the year commences.
In preparation for a successful 2026, our Year Ready session will address the following:
- Celebrate 2025 goals and progress with your Vision Australia service provider. Our team will prepare a certificate of achievement, and you or your child can add accomplishments during the session.
- Set new goals for 2026, considering key milestones like starting school or casual work.
- Discuss NDIS plans, funding, renewal dates, and any necessary documentation.
- Note key dates for 2026 (NDIS meetings, school transitions, holidays).
- Explore additional Vision Australia supports that you may desire during 2026.
Program locations
Over this summer period, our Year Ready program will be available to clients in the following regions:
- Sydney
- Newcastle/Hunter
- Wollongong/Illawarra
- Canberra
- Coffs Harbour
If you do not see your region available here, you can still access the program via telehealth.
Funding options
Families can choose to utilise NDIS-funding, under ‘Capacity Building’, or self-fund the session.
